With the exhibition “Par ici La Monnaie!”, at PasSage until January 2, it is young people who talk about their neighborhood.

The exhibition “This way, the Mint!” was presented October 23 in the Plato premises, in the presence of actors, elected officials and representatives of the associative world. This artistic work was carried out by the collective of artists “Les Allumeur.es” with Prévention and young people from the working-class district of La Monnaie. The exhibition is visible at PasSage.

One year of work

Supervised by the facilitators, this group of young people carried out a job for a year with two axes: the micro-sidewalk and the exhibition created as part of the project “This way the 2024 Currency”. They were supported by the Allumeur.es collective

The exhibition heads to PasSage

The sidewalk microphone consisted of collecting testimonies from passers-by on the subject from the La Monnaie district and identity. The opportunity for young authors to break down prejudices among those interviewed. Furthermore, in addition to the sound material, the young people took numerous photographs of their neighborhood. Temporarily exhibited at Plato, these photos go to “PasSage” until January 2, 2025.
