A long dress in the colors of the French flag. Marie-José Pérec was unmissable this Sunday at the Vogue World evening which took place at Place Vendôme (Paris 1st). An event during which sport and athletes were in the spotlight, just over a month before the start of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

The evening aimed to retrace a hundred years of history between sport and fashion. Many models and celebrities paraded all around the square’s column, to highlight several disciplines, from football to horse riding, tennis to fencing. Among them, real models and many athletes, anonymous from clubs in the Paris suburbs or more famous athletes such as the Williams sisters, Laura Flessel, Djibril Cissé, Raí, Emmanuel Petit or the Paralympic athletes Pauline Déroulède and Arnaud Assoumani.

The grand finale was hosted by triple Olympic champion Marie-José Pérec in her blue-white-red dress with a 4.5 m long train and by the phenomenon Victor Wembanyama. The 20-year-old basketball star paraded in a white suit specially designed for him by Pharrell Williams, near the Vendôme column.

Marie-José Pérec is one of the most important ambassadors of the Paris Olympic Games. About ten days ago, she crossed the Atlantic aboard the Maxi-trimaran Banque Populaire, in order to transport the Olympic flame to Guadeloupe and participate in the ocean relay.

For his part, Victor Wembanyama will be eagerly awaited on the Olympic fields, in which he will participate with the French basketball team. Voted best rookie in the NBA at the end of a sensational season with the San Antonio Spurs, the interior intends to lead the Blues to a medal.
