SENEGAL-EDUCATION-FORMATION-TIC / Saint-Louis: the Academy inspector underlines the importance of digital technology in teaching and training – Senegalese press agency

Saint-Louis, June 24 (APS) – The Saint-Louis academy inspector, Mafall Der, underlined, Saturday in Saint-Louis (north), the importance of digital didactic and pedagogical innovations in education and training, believing that no country in the world can do without it if it wants to ensure its development.

”No country can develop if it does not adjust to current innovations, particularly didactic and pedagogical, that digital technology offers in teaching and training,” he said.

Mr. Der was speaking at the Saint-Louis Open Digital Space, where the second day of handing over computers to S1 series students from public and private establishments in the departments of Dagana and Saint-Louis was held.

During the first day held Friday in the Podor department (north), more than a hundred students were provided with computers and USB keys.

These two days of handing over computer equipment were organized as part of the FORCE-N project (Open training for strengthening skills for employment and digital entrepreneurship), set up by the Mastercard foundation and the Cheikh Hamidou Kane Digital University of Dakar.

Noting the low numbers in the scientific series, the trainer in ‘e-learning’ or online teaching, Ousmane Ndoye, for his part, welcomed the various initiatives of the educational authorities and their partners, to develop them from the medium secondary.

Lasting five years, the FORCE-N project, whose objective is the development of teaching via digital technologies, also aims to strengthen and promote teaching in scientific fields by attracting more students.
