Three things to know about the Great Rennes clearance sale, back Wednesday June 26, 2024

The 53e edition of the Grande braderie de Rennes is held on Wednesday June 26, 2024, between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m., in around sixty streets in downtown Rennes. An event not to be missed every year for traders and bargain hunters.

A new second-hand and second-hand store space

In rue d’Antrain, between Place Hoche and Place Sainte-Anne, a new second-hand and second-hand store space welcomes around thirty traders in an approach “more ethical and environmentally friendly”, presents the Carré Rennais, the traders’ association which organizes the clearance sale. It adds to the space Upcyclingwhich was launched last year place Saint-Sauveur, and which promotes the art of creating new with old.

A rebalanced clearance sale north of the city center

It is also new this year and aims to rebalance the northern part of the clearance sale: a village of mainly local artisans and producers is set up at Place Hoche. Around sixty stands are planned, with food, honey, jewelry, fabrics, arranged rums…

The second largest clearance sale in France

After that of Lille and its two million visitors, the Rennes flea market is often presented as the second event of its kind in France. More than 300,000 people go there every year, and more than 300 traders, including 150 sedentary and around 200 itinerant, who put out their stalls in around sixty streets.

Wednesday June 26, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., in the streets of downtown Rennes. Free bus and metro all day. Bus lines diverted in the city center.
