Legislative elections in Puy-de-Dôme: why it might be impossible to vote for one of the candidates

Because he was not able to print his ballots on time, one of the candidates in the third constituency of Puy-de-Dôme is not sure of being at the polling stations on Sunday 30 June.

Due to delays, the early legislative elections left almost no room for “small” parties or candidates without labels, in Puy-de-Dôme as elsewhere.

Only two non-party candidates are running in the department, in the 3rd constituency (Clermont-Montagne). And it might be impossible to vote for one of them: if Louis Dupic (DVD) was able to print the 99,000 necessary ballot papers in time (the candidates had until June 18, 6 p.m., to deliver them to the propaganda commission), René Ondet (DVG) was unsuccessful… His bulletins cannot therefore be distributed by state services, as all the others will be.

One last solution, via the internet

However, he still has one possibility: he can, himself or via one of his agents, deposit his ballots in each town hall or polling station… He has until the day before the vote at noon to do so at the town hall, or until polling day by giving them to the president of the polling station.

Not an easy task in a constituency made up of 91 municipalities. Especially since at present, on Monday June 24, René Ondet had still not found a solution to print bulletins in his name.

Last option for the candidate: making the documents available on the internet for printing by the voters themselves. This possibility exists, but here too, provided that “the candidate or his representative has submitted the paper model of his ballot to the mayor at the latest the day before the election, or to the president of the polling station on the day of the election”, specify state services.
