Stéphane Le Mignan: it’s becoming clearer

If the thorny issue of Laszlo Bölöni’s departure is still not resolved, FC Metz would have resolved the question of his successor. It is Stéphane Le Mignan who should be the next coach of the Grenats. According to our colleagues at The teamthe 50-year-old technician – free of any contract after four years spent on the Concarneau bench – would arrive in Lorraine in the company of Mickaël Delestrez (technical director of the training center and coach of the Toulouse U19s).

Stéphane Le Mignan recently refused several offers including those from Sochaux, Dijon and Quevilly.

At least four preparation matches on the program

FC Metz, still awaiting the appointment of a new coach, has not yet communicated its summer program. But a few elements are known. The Messins must meet on Friday July 5 in Frescaty to launch their preparation.

A training course, the location and dates of which have not been revealed, is on the agenda of a Metz team which will play at least four friendly matches before the resumption of the championship, the weekend of August 17 against Bastia:

July 21 (11 a.m.) : Anderlecht (Belgian D1) – FC Metz at the Neerpede training center (behind closed doors).
July 27 (1 p.m.) : SV Wehen Wiesbaden (German D2) – FC Metz at the Brita Arena.
July 31 (time and location to be defined) : FC Metz – UNFP FC.
August 3 (time and location to be defined) : FC Metz – Torino FC (D1 italienne).

Women’s D2: a new start

After goalkeeper Emmeline Mainguy and midfielder Solenne Ninot, it is the turn of Algerian international Lydia Belkacemi to announce her departure from FC Metz. “It’s the end of the adventure for me at FC Metz,” she wrote on social networks. “Thank you to the club for the trust given, I wish them the best. »

As a reminder, Marine Morel, for her part, swapped her player jersey for the coaching outfit.

RFC Seraing, Belgian satellite club of FC Metz, announced this Monday the signing of the first professional contract of young 18-year-old midfielder Matteo Scarpinati, from the ranks of the Jules-Bocandé Academy, the training center of Steelworkers.
