This aid is a personal initiative of the King of Morocco in his capacity as President of the Al Quds Committee.

King Mohammed VI gave his very high instructions for the deployment of a humanitarian medical aid operation in Gaza, consisting of 40 tons of medical products.

In his capacity as Chairman of the Al Quds Committee, Morocco’s King Mohammed VI ordered the launch of a humanitarian operation to provide medical aid to the Gaza Strip. According to a press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Living Abroad, this initiative aims to support the Palestinian population in difficulty.

The aid, largely financed by the King’s personal funds, consists of 40 tonnes of essential medical products. It includes devices for treating burns, surgical and trauma emergencies, as well as essential medications for adults and young children.
The ministry specified that the delivery of this humanitarian aid will be done by the same new land route used during the food aid operation deployed under royal directives during the holy month of Ramadan.

These humanitarian operations illustrate the constant commitment and concern of King Mohammed VI towards the Palestinian cause, an initiative which reinforces Morocco’s continued actions in favor of the Palestinian people.

Furthermore, a high-level Palestinian delegation is expected today in Morocco. This visit aims to strengthen cooperation between Rabat and Jerusalem, with the signing of several agreements and the inauguration of the “Beit Al-Quds” Research and Study Center. The Moroccan government agency Bayt Mal Al-Quds, responsible for various restorations of sacred sites such as the Al-Aqsa Mosque, the Dome of the Rock and the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, is coordinating this tour.
