RC Lens officially recruits Hervé Koffi as its first summer recruit

The RC Lens announced his first acquisition of the summer transfer window: the experienced goalkeeper Hervé Koffi from Charleroi. The 27-year-old Burkinabe international, who is 1.86m tall and right-handed, has signed a four-year contract with the Artois for an amount estimated at around 2.5 million euros.

Koffi arrives at Lens with the hope of being a serious competitor for the starting goalkeeper position, currently occupied by Brice Samba. His impressive record includes 54 caps with the Burkina Faso national team, underlining his international experience and reliability as a last line of defense.

A competitor for Brice Samba?

In a recent tweet, RC Lens celebrated Koffi’s arrival by declaring: “A leading athlete comes to strengthen the Sang et Or! Goalkeeper and indisputable starter for the Burkina Faso national team (54 caps), Hervé Koffi joins Artois from SC Charleroi, where he played for three seasons (92 matches). A true last bastion, the 27-year-old signed a four-year contract which binds him to Racing until 2028”.

Koffi’s journey began at Rahimo FC in Burkina Faso, following in the footsteps of his father, a former professional footballer. His transition to European football saw him become a key player at SC Charleroi, where he made a significant impact during his three years of service.
