Paramedics were threatened by a man with a weapon this Friday, November 15 in Riez (Alpes-de-Haute-Provence), BFM DICI learned. The events occurred near the multi-professional health center “Aux bords de l’Auvestre”.
While they were on the scene to treat a patient, the paramedics came across an individual who was quite intoxicated and armed with a pistol. The man fled and the paramedics, stunned, immediately informed the police.

A security system was deployed to try to find the armed man, who was quickly identified. Initially, it was the gun that was found, in this case a Gomm Cogne, category C, which fires rubber bullets.
In the evening, the fugitive was apprehended by the soldiers attached to Castellane's partner. He is a resident of Puimoisson, around sixty years old.
Initially placed in police custody, he will be tried at the beginning of 2025 at the Digne-les-Bains criminal court as part of a summons by a judicial police officer (COPJ).
