The Regional Health Agency (ARS) has announced that it is expanding the vaccination campaign against papillomavirus in the department's colleges. From now on, for the 2024-2025 school year, all 11-14 year olds will be able to be vaccinated. Until then, the vaccine was reserved for 5th grade students.

296 students received the first dose

The organization of vaccination will be carried out over two years, a first injection will take place in the 2024-2025 school year and the second the following year. In Haute-, 11-14 year olds will be vaccinated between January 6 and February 21, 2025.

Vaccination against papillomavirus is not compulsory. In 2023, 296 Altiligère students received a first dose, and 262 a second dose.

How to get your child vaccinated?

The teams of health professionals will travel to the colleges, according to dates defined by the heads of establishment. The cost of vaccination in schools is fully covered.

Parents of students who wish to have their children vaccinated as part of this campaign must complete an online parental authorization before November 25*. It is also possible to request a paper version of the parental authorization. Children will be vaccinated with the agreement of both parents on the dates planned by the establishments.
