Orange, Free, SFR and Bouygues began blocking four pornographic sites in response to the conviction handed down by the Paris Court of Appeal last October.
The blocking of certain pornographic sites in France has begun. Since Friday, November 15, some of them are no longer accessible in the country. Telecom operators have in fact started to block four of these adult sites, namely Tukif, Xhamster, Mrsexe and Iciporno, reports Politico.
This blockage is not a surprise, the operators complying with a court decision. In October, the Paris Court of Appeal ordered the blocking of these four pornographic sites because of the lack of control of the age of users.

Contacted by Tech&Co, Orange, SFR and Bouygues confirmed the blocking of the four sites. Free, for its part, refused to comment, but according to Tech&Co's findings, it is still possible to access the sites with this operator.

For the moment, they are the only ones affected, but others could follow. In announcing its decision, the Paris appeals court said it was granting a stay to Pornhub, Youporn and other sites hosted in the EU because they raised a question relating to European law. French justice is therefore awaiting a response from the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) to render its decision.
