The Broyards and the Sarinois did not miss each other on Saturday evening: they returned to the cantonal elite a year after their relegation.

The suspense had diminished since the disappointment of Chevrilles/Tinterin mid-week at Farvagny (4-0). However, it remained to finish the job for Domdidier and Schoenberg, seconded at the head of this 3rd/2nd league promotion group and who needed a point to be promoted.

The two relegated from last summer did not give up, even if Marly sold their skin dearly against the Broyards, winners 2-1 at home. The club from the east bank of the Sarine played on its synthetic pitch in Saint-Léonard against Farvagny/Ogoz II (4-1). The two promoted take the places left by Friborg and Matran in the cantonal elite.

Note that it is FC Domdidier who are Friborg champions: Frédéric Studer’s men are ahead of FC Schoenberg thanks to their 0-2 victory acquired last weekend in the direct meeting between the two promoted teams. The local club will console itself with the title of top scorer of Sabaudin Ljamalari, who scored his 8th promotion goal on Saturday, the 40th in total this season.
