An event that brings together luxury second-hand players in Paris? This is the promise of ReLuxury, a Swiss player committed to issues linked to sustainability, and the luxury real estate specialist Barnes. The “Pre Loved Luxury Show” event is currently being held at the Carrousel du Louvre, until Sunday November 17. This is the first French edition of the show, which debuted in Geneva in November 2022.
The “Pre Loved Luxury Show” benefited for the occasion from the support of French actors including the Fédération de la Mode Circulaire, the Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie and the Sup de Pub fashion school, among others.
From November 15 to 17, more than 60 exhibitors will present their know-how in ready-to-wear, accessories, watches, tableware and interior decoration. A “showroom” space brings together brands, platforms and auction houses specializing in the manufacture and/or distribution of second-hand and vintage jewelry and watches, including ID Genève, 58 Facettes and Iconeek. The show also welcomes artisans and innovative start-ups, who share their expertise. One floor is devoted to fashion and accessories, with brands such as Thalie, which designs bags, and resale platforms including Marie Olive and Les Audacieuses Vintage.
The event also offers a series of lectures on more sustainable luxury and vintage fashion. The first discussion will be held today from 2:10 p.m. She will invite several actors including Maria Corella, General Manager at Ebay and the founder of Monogram Paris, Beverly Sonego, to discuss the emergence of resale platforms. Later in the day, at 4:20 p.m., Benedicte Epinay and Alberto Cavalli, respectively Chief Executive Officer at the Comité Colbert and the Michelangelo Foundation, a global non-profit organization that promotes design, hospitality and the arts in broad sense. Together, they will return to the challenges surrounding heritage preservation. Saturday, November 16, the conferences continue with a discussion at the start of the day around how to build confidence in second-hand luxury products. The next day, content creators Rubi Pigeon and Arthur Garros will address the role of influence in the second-hand market, particularly in the fashion and beauty sectors.
