It is a well-established custom, at the end of November it is national collection from the Food Bank. It will take place on Friday 22 and Saturday 23 November 2024.
This year again this collection is very important for us because it allows us to ensure a certain independence of supply in a period when needs are constantly increasing. These are 43 stores that open their doors to 500 volunteers who will offer you pockets. Our objective is to exceed last year's figure, i.e. more than 46T. For the Gers these are 9150 people that the Food Bank now supports through a network of 28 associations local partners
In the field of collections and it is traditional, the Gers stands out for its generosity. The volumes collected during the 2 annual collections represent 20% of the volumes distributed, which is practically double what we see nationally. This is due to a great mobilization of volunteers and perhaps also to the fact that the rural world is sensitive to the difficulties encountered by many families.
