A new session of the Morbihan assizes will open from November 20, 2024, at the court. Two cases will be debated until November 29, under the chairmanship of Claire Le Bonnois.

The first file concerns Guillaume Lieury, accused of murder on the night of Friday November 12 to Saturday November 13, 2021, in . That night, a meeting is set between two groups, near Lann-Sévelin, to resolve a dispute. But things get out of hand. A brawl begins and several stab wounds are given to a 35-year-old man in the chest. While patrolling the area, police officers came across two individuals a few minutes later on Andreï-Sakharov Street. One of the two, aged 17, helps the other, the victim, into a car.

Despite the rapid intervention of the firefighters, the thirty-year-old died a few hours later. On site, the police arrested another man, drunk, aged 27 at the time. Placed in police custody, the latter recognizes a conflict between him and the two others over a drug debt. If he admits to having stabbed himself, he assures that the blade does not belong to him. “The debates will have to determine what really happened,” says Me David Le Reste, lawyer for the victim’s family, who expects a “difficult” hearing for his clients. In pre-trial detention since November 15, 2021, Guillaume Lieury faces up to 30 years of criminal imprisonment. His trial will last until November 22.

Rape, extortion and kidnapping in Lanester

For the second case, from November 25 to 29, three accused will be present in the box: Isaia Barban, Dylan Berquin and Axel Gallot. Aged 26, 28 and 26 respectively, they are being prosecuted for extortion with a weapon, robbery with a weapon, kidnapping and sequestration, all as repeat offenders. Isaia Barban is also accused of rape.

The events took place from October 1 to 2, 2021. That night, a 72-year-old bookseller, living above her store, in Lanester, was awakened by a dull noise. She then finds herself facing two men, hooded and gloved. Gassed, restrained, insulted and beaten, the victim is ordered to give his card and bank card number. She obeys, her attackers leave. But, half an hour later, Isaia Barban returns. He puts her in his car and drives her to a wood in Inzinzac-Lochrist. Out of sight, he demands sexual acts from her, then rapes her. The victim was found on the side of the road, in a state of shock, by a motorist.

In this case, Isaia Barban is the only one to recognize the facts. His counsel, Me Baptist Agostini-Croce, explains that his client “did not hide during the investigation. He felt deep regrets and communicated precise information to the courts.” Dylan Berquin, for his part, claims to have only stood guard, while investigators suspect him of being the second attacker. Finally, Axel Gallot, designated as part of the group, denies any participation.

“This trial is eagerly awaited by my client,” confides Me Élodie Grelot. She expects a firm criminal response, commensurate with her trauma. »
