In three days, on Tuesday June 25, the City of Princes will shine in the light of the Olympic flame ! 5th stage of its passage through the Doubs, Montbéliard will be crossed by the flame over 5km, thanks to around thirty torchbearers who will cover 200 meters each, at around 4 km/h. Many perturbations are to be expected when traveling in the City. Please note that the weekly market in Petite-Hollande has been moved to Thursday June 27.

Traffic disruptions

Will be inaccessible from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., the Centre-Ville, Blancheries, Mont-Bart, rue de la Petite-Hollande and Pôle Universitaire sectors. The same goes for the Place du Champ de Foire, from 8 a.m., except for authorized vehicles.

– Rue du Général Leclerc
– Avenue of the Allies
– Avenue d’Helvétie
– Audincourt road
– Rue Gauguin
– Rue François-Mitterrand
– Audincourt road
– Rue Gaston Opposite

  • Parking throughout the route

Parking of any vehicle will be prohibited all along the route from 5:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and of Monday 12:00 p.m. to Tuesday 8:00 p.m., Place du Champ de Foire.

Of 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. will be closed : the Velotte, Alliés and Blancheries car parks. Visitors are invited to use the car parks of the old hospital, rue Thourot but also that of the Bonal stadium and those of the Axone (P1 and P2);

Security and public reception

The city will host the Engagement convoy, i.e. 15 to 20 vehicles excluding partners, which extends over 1 km. The public will be able to position themselves throughout the flame’s route except on the portion of rue du Général Leclerc (between Casse-graine and the Coinot bakery) where the passage is narrow. Other sectors should be favored: avenue des Alliés, avenue Wilson, rue de la Petite-Hollande. Secure areas are also provided for school and college students who have confirmed their arrival to witness the passing of the Olympic flame.

A journey under close surveillance with 75 vehicles mobilized and 200 municipal agents present to guide the public on the places where they can settle.
