From November 19 to 23, the media library offers for a few days to visit the exhibition on Arcade games. Table football, pinball, mole table, arcade machine and others. Initially mechanical, these games or fun machines were made available to the public in places such as bars, restaurants, cinemas, bowling alleys, shopping malls or amusement parks. They quickly evolved by including electricity, electromechanics or electronics and video in their operation. Their name comes, not from the type of game, but from the places where they were installed, often to save space under arcades, arches or vaults. Today, by extension, an arcade game comes in the form of a piece of furniture equipped with a coin mechanism, a screen and a control device. The first arcade video games date from the 1960s; computer science students were inspired by large computers to create them and little by little popularize them. The exhibition is provided by SEAD Event's and offers games from all worlds and for all ages. Free exhibition during media library opening hours.
