Until November 25, 2024, the Paul Éluard Art and history museum in the city of Saint-Denis (93) presents an exhibition relating to the urban heritage of games and places within the department.
It is in connection with the Olympic and Paralympic Games of Paris 2024 that the museum of the commune of Saint-Denis highlights the creation of all the new places created for this occasion. The city of Saint-Denis has been greatly transformed, particularly its infrastructure: the Olympic aquatic center, the athletes' village spread across the towns of Saint-Ouen, L'Ile-Saint-Denis and Saint-Denis, the new Annette Kellermann swimming pool. at La Courneuve or the PRISME in Bobigny. Clearly, the Seine-Saint-Denis department receives, thanks to the Paris 2024 Games, a great legacy on its territory.
The exhibition is the result of a collaboration between the city, the department and all the project owners.
To best welcome visitors, arrangements have been made: the room of the Pavillon Louis XV in Saint-Denis has been transformed into a fun and family space. Film screenings, a virtual tour of the athletes' village, workshops and many other activities are offered.
The garden of the Pavilion room was also landscaped for the occasion: emblematic objects of urban heritage were installed there, notably models of the Olympic venues.
Guided tours are organized to welcome young people (leisure centers, schools, etc.) and visitors of all ages.
It is through this exhibition that the Paul Éluard museum illustrates the preparation for the Games.
Come and discover how the Paris 2024 Games have allowed the region to transform!
