The Ministry of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Livestock and the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture of Senegal have signed a historic agreement. This initiative aims to strengthen Senegal’s food sovereignty by mobilizing young people through various strategic actions.

This convention marks a key step in achieving Senegal’s food sovereignty objectives. By mobilizing young people and integrating new technologies into agriculture, it aims to create a lasting impact on the agricultural economy and promote rural development. In addition, reforestation and soil fertilization initiatives are crucial to maintaining a healthy and productive environment.

The ministries involved hope that this partnership will serve as a model for other similar initiatives in the future, thereby strengthening the resilience and self-sufficiency of the Senegalese agricultural sector. Youth engagement through VAPs and ASCs is seen as an innovative way to revitalize the agricultural sector while providing economic opportunities to new generations.
