A week of strike. Since Thursday, November 7, the Cergy-Pontoise Confluence bus network has been paralyzed by a strike by drivers who denounce a deterioration in their working conditions and are fighting to maintain their social benefits. This Thursday, November 14, no buses are running.
“Following the blocking of the depot by the union organizations, traffic will remain interrupted until the end of the service. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.” For a week, the same message has invariably been displayed on the X account of Cergy Pontoise Confluence, 32 lines which serve the urban area and Conflans-Sainte-Honorine.
At Fo's call, a renewable strike affects the network managed by Francilité Seine et Oise, a subsidiary of Lacroix and Savac, on behalf of Ile-de-France Mobilités. A social movement massively followed by drivers.
Since September and the takeover by Fso after fifty years of operation by Stivo (Société de transports interurbans du Val-d'Oise), the Cergypontain bus network has accumulated dysfunctions between cascading deletions, avalanche of delays and new numbering headache. To the great dismay of its approximately 80,000 daily users.
Meeting on Tuesday, November 12 in a community council, the elected officials of Cergy-Pontoise unanimously voted for a motion “for a rapid return to normal of the public bus service”. No effect so far.
