If guide or assistance dogs were already authorized on board the electric train, other dogs will also be able to board on a leash in the network, regardless of the time, from June 24 to August 18, unless there is a special event. ‘span.

The pilot project launched by CDPQ Infra still imposes certain rules to be respected, such as equipping your animal with a muzzle from the entrance to the station until the exit. A maximum length of 1.25 m (49 in) between the hand and the clip on the dog is required.

Only one dog per passenger is allowed and they cannot occupy car seats or benches in the station.

As of August 19, pitou will also be permitted in the REM, with the exception of peak hours from Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and from 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.

What about bikes?

Those who want to take the REM with their bicycle, even electric, their scooter, their unicycle or their tricycle will also be able to do so at any time from June 24 to August 18.

Just like for dogs, it will only be possible to do so during certain time slots from August 19.

To do this, you must be at least 14 years old or be accompanied by an adult, respect the limit of two bicycles per REM car and make sure you hold your bike securely.

“Bikes may not be authorized during certain events generating significant traffic,” CDPQ Infra pointed out on its website.
