The November 13ththe Louvre Museum and L'Oréal launched a unique collaboration with the exhibition “Of All Beauties! ». This unique cultural journey invites the public to explore 10,000 years of beauty history through 108 works of Art.
The exhibition, which will last until mars 2027offers an immersion in the evolution of beauty, a universal but complex concept, reflecting the diversity of cultures and eras.
This partnership was born from a meeting between Laurence des Cars, president of the Louvre, and Nicolas Hieronimus, general director of L'Oréal. This collaboration, according to Des Cars, aims to offer an inclusive and enriching vision of the museum's collections: “Together, we have designed an itinerary that highlights the great diversity of beauty across eras and cultures. » The course stands out for its fun and educational approach, offering visitors new perspectives to understand beauty in all its forms.
An anthropological exploration of beauty
The course is structured around three major themes: cosmetics and ritual objectsTHE canons of beautyand beauty like mirror of society. Delphine Urbach, director of “Art, Culture and Heritage” at L'Oréal, explains that the main objective is to show visitors that beauty is multiple and personal, a message of tolerance and inclusion. She also emphasizes that this journey “illuminates anthropological and sociological questions across 10,000 years of history”.
To enrich this experience, a digital application allows visitors to learn more about the works exhibited through QR codesaccessible even outside the museum. This philanthropic and educational initiative demonstrates the commitment of L'Oréal and the Louvre to democratize beauty and its symbols throughout history.
