The 27 firefighters of Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré, members of local section 7150 affiliated with the SPQ-SCFP provincial fire sector council, have a new collective agreement, which covers the years 2023 to 2027. The signing of the latter follows a unanimous vote on the agreement in principle.

“We would like to highlight the employer’s collaboration during the negotiation sessions. We would also like to thank the union members who supported us throughout the process as well as our union advisor, Dominic Cordeau, for his professionalism and availability,” declared the representatives of the union negotiating committee in unison.

The employment contract provides for salary increases totaling 22.4% combined with a purchasing power protection clause for the years 2025 to 2027. An increase in the number of weeks of vacation for workers with less seniority, an allowance for the use of a cell phone as well as compensation for child care during the holiday period are among the gains obtained during the negotiation.
