“We will need action”

“A year ago today, Meuse farmers were in the streets. Today, nothing has changed and the cup is full. “It’s going to take action”: it is with these few words that the union wishes to bring the troops together.

In fact, farmers are rebelling against “their lack of cashand the numerous regulations ». They also oppose treaty between the European Union and Mercosur (South American countries), denouncing “unfair” competition and protesting “at the lack of resources deployed regarding the bluetongue ».

Roundabouts as a meeting place

This time the Young Farmers of the Meuse union wishes to organize rallies on the roundabouts of each canton of the department.

• Clermont-en-Argonne: roundabout in Clermont
• Commerce/Void: roundabout in Void-Vacon (cemetery side) and Vaches bleues roundabout in Commercy
• Tin: roundabout in Eix
• Fresnes/Vigneulles: roundabout in Saint-Benoit-en-Woëvre
• Gondrecourt-le-Château: roundabout of the Daimler Buses factory in Ligny-en-Barrois and mobilization in Houdelaincourt
• Montfaucon/Dun/Varennes: EMC2 roundabout in Bras-sur-Meuse
• Saint-Mihiel/Pierrefitte: crossing of Paroches and Chauvoncourt
• Seuil/Souilly/Vaubecourt: roundabout in Fleury-sur-Aire

The union points out that this is a communication action and accompanies its call with this indication: “No tarpaulins, no manure and others… We stay clean; It’s a communication action to express our anger to the general public.”
