On November 6, the regional goat, sheep and cow cheese competition was held in Selles-sur-Cher in Loir-et-Cher.
During this day, 100 jurors, divided into 23 juries, tested the 200 samples proposed by the 65 participating producers in 26 categories and subcategories, including four AOP.
Award-winning Indre-et-Loire producers
> Cow (soft pasta). Silver medal at the Fromagerie des Frisonnes in Buxeuil, with Délice de Marguerite, organic AB products.
> Cow (pressed pasta, tommes, gouda). Gold medal to the Kuipers family, the Gautraye farm in Sonzay, with the Fare.
> Brebis. Stéphanie Aubert, from Ferme du bois d'Enhus in Limeray, won the silver medal in the “miscellaneous lactic” category, with the Brick; it obtains a special mention in “fresh”, as well as in the “yogurt” category.
> Goat cheese (AOP Sainte-Maure-de-Touraine). Gold medal to Cédric Carcaillon, the Cloche d’Or in Pont-de-Ruan; silver to Gaec Limouzin in Petit-Pressigny; bronze tied to Élodie and Conrad Leclerc, the Buisson au Louroux cheese dairy.
> Goat cheese (refined round). Gold medal to Cédric Carcaillon, the Cloche d’Or in Pont-de-Ruan, with the Cabris de Touraine; bronze to Émilie Friconneau and Mathieu Léger, the Pampilles de l'Oisellière in Ligueil, with Chenu.
> Goat (various forms). Gold medal to Cédric Carcaillon, the Golden Bell at Pont-de-Ruan, with the Crown of Touraine; special mention to Florence and Bertrand Barreau and the entire team at Fromagerie du Cabras in Dolus-le-Sec, with the Apéri'cabras.
> Goat (salted fresh). Gold medal tied to Lauriane Crutin and Jérémy Thibault, Ferme du Souheil in Cussay.
> Goat cheese (fresh unsalted). Silver medal at Florence Barreau, Cabras cheese dairy in Dolus-le-Sec.
> Goat cheese (flavored in paste). Bronze medal tied to Lauriane Crutin and Jérémy Thibault, Ferme du Souheil in Cussay, with Honey and Pollen Cheese.
> Goat cheese (yogurt). Gold medal to Émilie Friconneau and Mathieu Léger, the Pampilles de l'Oisellière in Ligueil.
