Aude, a sporting destination? At a time when the Department, with the support of its Tourism Development Agency, is developing its new strategy for promoting the territory with the establishment of the new destination brand, Aude, the South Soul, that L'Indépendant highlights in its columns every fortnight on Thursday, the subject of sporting practice has become a crucial issue. So-called nature sports since Aude has become a destination recognized for its hiking, horse riding or cycling circuits but also for the practice of board sports on the coast without forgetting winter sports with the ski resort. Camurac skiing without forgetting the practice of fishing, the development of which owes a lot to the quality of the landscapes and natural environments.
The seasons in Aude are also punctuated by rugby matches between local clubs. This sport is above all an art of living which is also experienced off the field and illustrates the good-natured and friendly spirit of the Audois.
