Organized by the associations commission of the municipal council, the evening of Friday November 8 was dedicated to Vayracoise associations. It took place in two very distinct stages. The heads of each association were first invited to a meeting at the rural center to take stock of 2024 and prepare for 2025. Around thirty people were present.
Christian Laquièze and the members of the commission first thanked those present but also all the associations, forty in number, which greatly participate in the animation and life of the village. “The town hall is and will remain at your side…”
Then it was time for the 2024 review and the 2025 projects.
Regarding the fort's aperitifs, ten were organized: from June 24 to August 26, with between 100 and 150 people on each date. The municipality covered the cost of the musicians, i.e. €2,000, and provided tables and benches as well as municipal staff for transporting equipment or setting up barriers. For 2025, nine dates are already planned from June 23 to August 25.
For Thursdays in the summer, three out of four projects announced, with a significant drop in attendance. A meeting is planned for the follow-up to these demonstrations.
Children's day was a great success, to be repeated.
The open-air cinema was a great success with more than 500 spectators.
After recalling that it was essential that associations clean the premises and tables perfectly, particularly after meals, Rémi Poumeyrol stressed that the municipality had granted €27,000 to 31 associations for 2024 (€23,000 in 2023).
An initial occupancy schedule for the village hall and rural center has been drawn up. It will be completed and validated in committee. It was recalled that the cinema had priority for the use of the rural home within the framework of the agreement which has existed for almost thirty years between the town hall and the association.
The evening then continued in the village hall. In the presence of Mayor Loïc Lavergne-Azard, members of the various associations were invited to a meal offered by the municipality and musically hosted by Bob Neal on guitar and singing. In welcoming them, the mayor wanted to thank all the associations for their activities and the events organized in the village.
