Music festival: the group Blue Ara in concert this Friday in Draguignan

How was your group formed? Who composes it?

Blue Ara is made up of three members. There is Romain, the drummer, originally from Saint-Maximin. Antoine is our bassist, from Roquebrune-sur-Argens. And then me, Adrien, who comes from Draguignan. I am a singer and guitarist. Basically, Romain and I were music teachers. I was giving guitar lessons at a school and teaching him drums. It was also there that we met Antoine. We all hit it off straight away and the feeling quickly passed. After several rehearsals together, we decided to start a group.

How would you describe your style of music? What are your influences?

We mainly play varied sounds, like rock, pop or more “funky” sounds. Our influences are mainly oriented around rock. But we also offer more “general public” pieces.

Why did you choose the name “Blue Ara”?

Ara is actually the anagram of our three first names, which then made us think of the Blue Macaw, a type of parrot.

Tomorrow evening, will you play in Draguignan for the first time?

Almost. Our group is quite new. It only formed at the end of 2022. The following year we worked on its development and fine-tuning. Before we then launch into our first season. We have already played twice at The One pub in Draguignan. As part of the Music Festival, tomorrow, the drummer will unfortunately not be present for the event.

Blue Ara, in concert at 9:45 p.m. on Boulevard Georges Clemenceau (middle), in Draguignan. Contact: 04 94 60 31 59.
