The highly anticipated Herbignac aquatic center will open its doors to the public in spring 2025. After a construction delay due to a failure of a company on the bay window coverings and carpentry work, and 3 and a half years of work on total (the first stone having been laid on November 24, 2021), it will offer the inhabitants of the territory equipment of nearly 2,0000 m2.

It will consist of an aquatic area with a 25-meter sports pool, 4 water lines and a 35 m² paddling pool, relaxation areas with an 80 m² leisure pool (with massage benches and massage nozzles ), an indoor solarium, complemented outside by 300 m² of mineral beach, 800 m² of grassy beach and outdoor water games.

The aquatic center will be managed by the Récréa company and its annual attendance is estimated at more than 100,000 bathers. Ultimately, the project led by Cape Atlantic will have cost nearly 10 million euros including tax, co-financed by the " rel="tag">Pays de la Loire Region, the European Union, the Department of Loire-Atlantique and Ademe.
