It is a sad, but real observation that the Prefecture of Calvados draws as the end of the year approaches. Between January 1 and October 31, 2024the number of accidents on the roads of Calvados is increasing.
26 killed

Among the users killed on the roads, pedestrians are the most numerous over the period (7). The Prefecture of Calvados has 2 cyclists killed in 10 months (compared to 0 at the same period in 2023).

Special attention for road officials
Among the most vulnerable people on the roads are road officials who work night and day on construction sites. What is the security corridor?
The safety corridor is included in the highway code.
