The Colbert Saint-Pierre Billiard Club will play next season in the French billiards elite, in division 1. This is the result of a weekend which allowed the Corpopétrussiens players, Sandy Grenet (on the band), Emmanuel Lefranc (in the free part) and Frédéric Goubard (at 47/2), to stand out for this last round, final of the French division 2 championship, organized Saturday June 15 and Sunday June 16, 2024, in the Pierre-Curie room.

In addition to the local team, the clubs of Andernos (Aquitaine), Soissons (Hauts-de-France) and Rezé (Loire-Atlantique) were on track for this final round.

The meetings gave rise to twists and turns. Particularly the final, between the Saint-Pierre club and Andernos, where it came down to little. Finally, the local champion, Frédéric Goubard, achieved an exceptional result by achieving a score of 148 out of 150, while his opponent achieved 136. This victory allowed Sandy Grenet to finish more calmly, the final victory being acquired. In the small final, it was Soissons who finished 3e in front of Rezé.

Representatives of the municipality, the departmental council and the French federation enjoyed these two days of high-level competition. It remains for the local club to succeed in remaining in the elite next season. That will be the goal.
