On the program for your Zap 57 Christmas special: Santa Claus is in Metz, Natasha St-Pier should soon arrive for a concert, in Forbach we ride the Ferris wheel, and we decorate the trees in Sarrebourg!
A floating Santa
Giant Santa Claus left his North Pole for Metz this Wednesday, November 13. After more than six weeks of intensive work and more than 30 agents, the floating Santa was assembled! It will be launched on Friday on the backwater of the Moselle, after a makeover and some final adjustments. This lantern, popular with the public, will be visible from the floating Christmas sleigh, the new Metz attraction.
Forbach rides his Ferris wheel
What would Christmas be without its Ferris wheels? The one in Forbach is being assembled! The city's number 1 attraction during the holidays, it measures 34 meters high! And for a few days, we can already see his first pieces on the market square. The feet and the wheel axle have already been mounted. It should be finished tomorrow, Thursday November 14, thanks to the work of 9 people, and the few aerialists present!
Two fir trees in Sarrebourg
In Sarrebourg, too, the celebrations are beginning! The two large Christmas trees were installed on November 12: one on the station square, the other on Place des Cordeliers. And the largest, the one at the station, is 16 meters high! The installation of the two spruces took place without any problems, in around thirty minutes. They will be decorated in the coming days and will remain in town until mid-January.
Natasha St-Pier in concert at the cathedral
Christmas will be spent in music in Metz, and Natasha St-Pier will even be passing through. On December 12, she will sing at Saint-Étienne Cathedral from 8 p.m., as part of her Christmas tour. The singer will cover holiday classics like “Vive le vent” or “Oh Happy Day”. A concert which should complete the playlist of more than 3 hours specially designed by the city for the Christmas markets. Tickets are already available.
