Pierre-André Durandprefect of the Occitanie region and Christophe Manaspresident of the Mediterranean Commission of the Occitanie Region, revealed the two winners of the call for projects “Avenir littoral 2024” focused this year on theoptimization of water management in blue economy activities (ports and nautical activities in particular).
“In this context, the two projects selected, which will benefit from financial support of €140,000, respond well to these challenges by offering solutions reuse of waste water which allowsave drinking water for communities or port entities and reduce discharge at sea », confirm the State and the Region.
Treat waste water
In Hérault: 2024 winner, the MARS project
Led by the companies BIO-UV GROUP (Lunel) and COLDEP (Lattes), this project aims to develop an integrated solution for treating waste water from coastal treatment plants for different uses: watering of green spaces, irrigation of food crops but also for fairing and cleaning boat hulls.
State-Region aid: €87,567.
Treat without chemicals
In the Gard: 2024 winner, the ECO-Guard project
Led by the company SNT – ACQUA ECOLOGIE, this project aims to set up a complete solution for the collection and pumping of dirty water generated by port activities (bilge water from boats loaded with hydrocarbons), combined with a treatment process and “energy-efficient” recycling system, capable of reusing 100% of treated water without chemicals.
State-Region aid: €50,400.
