On Thursday, November 7, 2024, Parliament adopted a bill aimed at regulating short-term furnished tourist rentals. The legislative text could be applied as early as January 2025.

The stated objective is to better regulate rental in order to make housing more available over the long term. This new regulation did not fail to provoke a reaction. Several owners of one or more furnished tourist accommodations in Finistère responded to the call for testimony launched by West France .
