The visit has not yet been officially announced but the Minister of Transport is preparing his visit to Indre-et-Loire. François Durovray is due to travel to Touraine this Thursday, November 14, 2024 in the morning on the theme of mobility in rural areas.
A second visit to Centre-Val de Loire
The minister, who is also president of the Department of Essonne, has already traveled to the Centre-Val de Loire region: he came to Orléans on Monday September 23, 2024. This was his very first trip after his appointment in the government of Michel Barnier.
If the program for this new visit to the Loire Valley has not yet been completely decided, it plans a first stage at the Fondettes-Saint-Cyr-sur-Loire railway stop while consultation for its reopening is underway.
This project is part of the Metropolitan Regional Express Service (Serm) of Touraine, with the aim of putting this station back into service on the Tours-Le Mans line.
Chinon before Maine-et-Loire
Secondly, the minister could go to Chinon, to highlight the on-demand transport service initiated in September 2024 by the Chinon Vienne et Loire community of communes.
The Minister Delegate to the Minister for Partnership with the Territories and Decentralization, responsible for Transport, should then head to Maine-et-Loire.
