Grégory Baéza, manager of the Tarn-et-Garonnaise company BSI, had promised a bonus of 500 euros to Leon Marchand if he broke a world record last weekend during an inter-club competition from Occitanie to Montauban . This had little chance of happening because the Olympic champion is in a work cycle between 2 big competitions. But Grégory Baéza still gave him a box of Pécou sugared almonds, the famous chocolatier from Montauban.

The business manager, former manager of the Montauban swimming club, came away delighted with his meeting with Léon Marchand: “he was aware of this buzz so it made me happy. At the end he stopped to sign autographs with fans and we took a moment for me to give him the box of candy. He was delighted. It's still an incredible event to have a quadruple Olympic champion swimming with departmental and regional level swimmers. Everything went very well and I congratulate the club and the volunteers who worked to ensure that this competition took place in such conditions”
