Looking for a new coach to replace Régis Le BrisLorient would have placed Olivier Pants among the most interesting profiles. The Breton club, relegated to Ligue 2 last May despite a record budget of 80 million euros, is seriously considering the Ajaccian coach. His leaders would thus see him sitting on the bench of Moustoire next season.

One of the first choices

According to our information, Olivier Pantaloni (57 years old) would even appear at the top of the list, just behind Stéphane Le Mignan (50 years old), the former coach of Concarneau who, for the moment, would be the first choice of the Morbihan club.

But the ACA technician, thanks to his strong experience in Ligue 2 as well as his exceptional longevity since he has been in post without interruption since November 2014, could however be preferred to his Breton counterpart. The presence at FC Lorient of Laurent Abergelcaptain and former aceist, would also be a strong asset.

Another year of contract

The fact remains that Olivier Pantaloni is still involved with the ACA until June 2025. “I am under contract and I wish to honor it”he said last May, a few days before the end of the championship.

But persistent tensions in the Ajaccian locker room this season as well as an absent management structure could be elements likely to tempt the emblematic coach to favor the Breton challenge.

Obviously, a possible departure would not do the business of the aceist club, two weeks before the resumption of training, which is scheduled for Monday July 8 in Timizzolu.
