The Gréziens enjoy it. “All the more so, continues Philippe Landrieu, that we had been tickled by the Brussels crossbowmen. They are friends, but there, they touched our heartstrings and our group of eight crossbowmen wanted to unite, facing eighteen people from Brussels competing. We had some fears in the middle of the season, with less successful rounds and a little less good, but we were able to recover, and in what way!”

The Gréziens did not miss the boat. Éric Van Bogaert won the gold medal at 6 meters while Olivier Depré did the same at 10 meters. Philippe Landrieu was also crowned Belgian champion in the senior category at 10 meters. Other satisfactions, the bronze medals which went to Philippe Godin (senior, 6 m) and Joël Devroye (elite, 6 m).

Note that the Grez crossbowmen do not just face twenty-four teams from all over the country in the Belgian championship. We will therefore not be surprised to see them in the first three places in the Brabant-Brussels championship. In the honor category, at 6 meters, the first three are Joël Devroye, Olivier Depré and Éric Van Bogaert. In category B, still at 6 meters, Célia Devroye won the bronze medal. And in the honorary category, at 10 meters, Joël Devroye did it again, followed by Philippe Landrieu and Éric Van Bogaert. Still at 10 meters, but in category A, Olivier Depré wins while in B, among the new shooters, it is Darius Rusu who wins. Finally, at 10 m, in the diopter category (different aim), it was Philippe Landrieu who won the prize.
