Presentation plates and catch-all dishes

This is perhaps the inevitable counterpart of a better quality plate: at the Fair, there are still stands where the prices are too high in relation to the quality served. Among the persistent defects: presentation plates with real products (vegetables, meat, fish, etc.) which wilt over the day and which are disastrous environmentally. They are having an increasingly bad effect as the ecological transition becomes a priority. Furthermore, catch-all dishes sometimes bordered on the ridiculous. This year, for example, we saw the appearance of a “Breton cassoulet” which inevitably left people skeptical. When will we see tartiflette from or bouillabaisse from Clermont-Ferrand?

Incomplete Japan

The traditional Japanese singing demonstration marked the inauguration and the culinary part of the guest country attracted the curious. But on the first day of the Fair, many visitors searched for a long time for the other space dedicated to Japan, located behind the games area. Too bad, because from calligraphy to swordsmanship, he was rather well endowed.

Still efforts to be made on the inclusion of disabled people

The day dedicated to inclusion and disability was a great success. But a stone's throw from the space where the activities took place, Alain's Bistrot and the Espace Chambertin were not or only slightly accessible to disabled people. Really sad…

In its summary press release, distributed on Monday November 11, on the evening of the last day of the Fair, Bourgogne Events also announced the dates of the 2025 Fair. It will be from November 1 to 11, one day less than this year, therefore.
