The single pricing throughout Île-de- was officially voted on Tuesday, November 12 by the board of directors of Île-de-France Mobilités. It will come into force on January 1, 2025.

It is now official: the single pricing on the Île-de-France Mobilités transport network comes into force on January 1, 2025. The board of directors unsurprisingly voted for this new pricing this Tuesday, November 12.

Announced last September, the new price list completely disrupts the purchase of transport tickets in the region. Occasional travelers will only have two different transport tickets when traveling. “A major simplification compared to the 50,000 current tariff combinations”, underlines Île-de-France Mobilités.

Thus, a single ticket at 2.50 euros will be valid for metro, train and RER journeys regardless of the geographical area. The second ticket concerns bus and tram journeys, costing 2 euros.

Only the Orlyval, the Orlybus, the Roissybus, the Noctilien or even on-demand transport are exempt from this new single pricing. Special pricing is in place for all journeys to airports, regardless of the mode of transport, at a rate of 13 euros.

Residents outside favored

From the first day of the new year, metro journeys will therefore increase by 35 cents. However, travel by RER and Transilien from cities further from Paris will be much more advantageous. A strategy which shows the desire of Île-de-France Mobilités, chaired by Valérie Pécresse also at the head of the regional council, to erase the border between Parisians and others.

The organizing authority also intends to encourage the use of public transport rather than cars in the inner and outer suburbs, a measure which is also part of an ecological aim.

Ile-de-France residents with an annual, monthly or weekly subscription are not affected by the price changes.

Navigo Liberté +, however, will extend to the whole of Île-de-France in 2025. It will increase in January 2025, going from 1.73 euros to 1.99 euros for a rail transport ticket. But it will remain more advantageous for bus and tram travelers since the future surface transport ticket will cost 1.60 euros.

The reduced rates remain the equivalent of 50% of the new rate.
