In the old center of Bastia, construction sites on four buildings are at a standstill in the Puntettu district.

In total, around sixty new social, intermediate and home ownership housing units must be delivered.

The Bastia town hall is not very forthcoming on the subject. The opposition, for its part, is stepping up to the plate.

The Puntettu district, like that of the Gaudin school – a construction site also stopped – were the scene of important political battles during the municipal campaign in 2014. The nationalist camp had made their protection an absolute priority.

Ten years later, their transformation is not yet complete and could well be once again at the heart of the next electoral contest.
