More than a quarter of French people say they are cold at home. Blame it on energy prices which have skyrocketed, not to mention thermal strainers that are impossible to heat. This Tuesday is the national day against fuel poverty. Guillaume Gassie is the head of the energy renovation division within the Haute-Savoie association Innovales. They told us that to embark on the thermal renovation of your home you should not hesitate to seek support from specialized associations. According to Guillaume Gassie, “Energy renovation remains the leading sector in terms of fraud. It's so complicated for individuals to navigate it that ultimately it's easy for the scammers.”
The housing stock is not efficient according to Guillaume Gassie. “If we look at the DPE, the energy performance diagnosis, the average for the stock is D. This is not extraordinary. And if we look at the figures for Haute-Savoie, 40% of housing is in the lowest classes: E , F and G so lots of thermal strainers”.
