Augustin Konieczny, winner of the show “Lego Masters”, broadcast on M6 at the start of the year, and originally from Castelnaud-de-Gratecambe, has visited Saint-Pastour several times recently. He was present alongside primary school students to lead Lego workshops, Monday 4, Tuesday 5 and Friday 8 November. The objective: to stack thousands of small bricks to create the town's coat of arms.

“This coat of arms, created with around a hundred children spread across the three workshops, has 5,549 pieces in total and weighs around 30 kg,” said Augustin, unveiling the final work on Friday evening at the village hall. “The schoolchildren discovered not only the techniques to create this creation, but also the coat of arms of their town and its history,” underlined the 23-year-old young man. Indeed, “the children learned to decode the ornaments of the coat of arms, which represent the royal bastide: the cross and the fleurs-de-lys,” noted the mayor, Pierre Jeanneau, before presenting a trophy to Augustin Konieczny, in the company of the elected representatives of the Lot-et-Tolzac community of communes. “We are happy to have hosted this new event around the construction of a work. Last April, the children had already created a replica of the war memorial with another artist. »

The Municipal Council said it was considering the final location of the coat of arms created, “but it is obvious that it will remain in Saint-Pastour”.
