The events occurred shortly before 7 p.m. Monday November 11, a car swerved on Chemin de Lourmettein the Farel district, in Revel. She hit the perimeter fence of the independent residence for the elderly, on one side of the road, and several trees, on the other, before coming to a stop.


No less than 13 firefightersfrom the Revel and Caraman fire and rescue centers, were deployed to the scene aboard five vehicles, including two pump-ton vans and two ambulances. They took charge two victimstrapped inside the vehicle.

Two people in absolute emergency

The extrication operations took a long time. “In absolute emergency, a 33 year old man and one 26 year old woman were extracted, packaged and then transported to a hospital center,” specifies the Departmental Fire and Rescue Service.

The emergency services had to mobilize theSAMU 31 helicopter which allowed the thirty-year-old to be evacuated. The gendarmes were present on site during the intervention, as well as the mayor of Revel, Laurent Hourquet.
