The village of Bondo, in Val Bregaglia, has been transformed into an open-air exhibition. Since the beginning of June, and for four months, the third edition of the Bregaglia Biennale has welcomed ten artists from here and elsewhere who have worked on the theme “Architecture and gardens”. From more than 230 applications, an international jury selected ten artistic projects linked to specific sites.

The location of the Bregaglia Biennale 2024 is special: Bondo is in fact famous for the tragic landslides that swept it with 3 million cubic meters of rocky material on August 23, 2017, killing eight people. Through their art, the artists intervene in the territory by including its wounds and its transformations, while dialoguing with its population of some 200 souls.
