On the occasion of the European Waste Reduction Week from November 16 to 24, SICTOMU accompanied by its partners offers a significant number of activities and workshops in order to raise public awareness of ecology and in this case the reduction of waste. waste.
During this week, residents of the region will be invited to participate in a wide range of activities: toy collections, composting workshops, nature cleaning sessions, DIY and repair workshops, zero waste activities and film screenings. of debates.

Among the important events:
“Eat better, waste less” photo rally: open since October 28, photography enthusiasts are invited to immortalize scenes related to the reduction of food waste and eco-responsible practices. The best photos will be rewarded with attractive prizes, such as gourmet baskets and soft mobility subscriptions.
Solidarity toy collection: Under the name “Laisse Parler Ton Cœur”, this collection is organized from November 16 to 24 with Ecosystem and Sud Rhône Environnement. The toys collected will be sorted, cleaned and redistributed to families in need or sold at a solidarity price.
Inauguration of shared composting sites: In Uzès and Vers Pont du Gard, two new collective composting sites will be inaugurated to encourage the sorting of bio-waste.
Workshops and activities: SICTOMU and its partners offer various activities, such as the making of tawashi sponges and bird feeders, bicycle repair workshops, and composting training, where composters will be offered to participants.
