Thursday November 14 at 8 p.m., the Grand Écran multiplex cinema in Langon (Gironde) will welcome Sonia Barkallahdirector of the documentary “Witnesses” who will present her film to the South Gironde audience.

Here is the synopsis: among the millions of people who have had a near-death experience, the witnesses of this docufiction report disconcerting facts such as bodily detachment and extrasensory perceptions, confirmed by relatives and the medical world.

Sonia Barkallah takes us to the heart of her investigation through unpublished testimoniesmoving, beyond borders, which destabilize specialists of the brain, coma and consciousness.

Sonia Barkallah initiated and organized Martigueson June 17, 2006, the first international conference ever organized in the world on near-death experiences, which brought together doctorsincluding Doctor Raymond Moody, and researchers came from different countries to take stock of knowledge on this phenomenon.

In 2009, she co-founded with Dr Jean-Pierre Postel, anesthetist-resuscitator, CNERIC (National Center for the Study and Information on Consciousness).

In 2010, she directed and produced a documentary film “ False Start”, survey on NDEs considered by specialists as the reference on this subject and used as a therapeutic tool in palliative care units at home.Timone hospital in Marseille and as an educational tool for medical students at the University Hospital of Strasbourg.

In 2013, she organized, at Marseillea second international conference on NDEs.

The International Meetings were a great success, each time attracting more than 2,000 people…

In 2015, she launched S17.TV, a web TV which was devoted to the theme of NDEs, mourning and spirituality. This web TV, dormant, should return to service in another form.

In March 2021, she published her first book What if this happened to you?which traces his journey through near-death experiences.

In 2022 she founded her new audiovisual production company SB to produce the docufiction “Witnesses” in 2024.
