In full promotion of his book What I'm looking forJordan Bardella, president of the National Rally, is traveling this Sunday, November 10, 2024 in Lot-et-Garonne, on a territory mainly won over to the cause of his party.

Although the department only has one RN deputy in the three constituencies (compared to 2 in 2022), the second constituency of Marmande is one of those territories where the National Rally is well anchored. As a reminder, the RN's score increased by 47% in Lot-et-Garonne, between the second round of 2022 and 2024, the increase being 70% for Hélène Laporte, the only MP re-elected in the department.

It is therefore in this context that Jordan Bardella launches his “permanent campaign” which will allow the party founded by Marine Le Pen to prepare for the municipal elections of 2026 but also for possible early legislative elections, in the event of a new dissolution of the National Assembly, in the coming months.

The president of the RN thus visited this Sunday, November 10, 2024, at the end of the morning, on the farm of Vincent Rigo, cereal farmer in Virazeil, commune where Hélène Laporte won 53.59% of the votes facing the village mayor representing the New Popular Front, Christophe Courrègelongue.

The farmer, for his part, is a member of the Rural Coordination, majority agricultural union in Lot-et-Garonne and who called for a large-scale demonstration, starting on November 19, a few months after an unprecedented mobilization.

The MEP was thus able to discuss with the farmer but also Karine Duc and José Perezco-presidents of Rural Coordination. They were able to recall their past and future mobilizations, their grievances but also their non-existent exchanges with the new government.

Finally, in another style, it is Serge Bousquet-Cassagne, president of the Chamber of Agriculture of Lot-et-Garonne since 2013 on a list from the Rural Coordination, who was able to express themselves.

The one who has never hidden his attraction towards the National Rally, has indulged in a lyrical flight against Jordan Bardella. “You must be honored that we invited you to Vincent’s house (Rigo, Editor’s note) because you know that we do not welcome all political men and women in this way” explicitly quoting Marine Tondelier, patron of Europe Écologie – Les Greens, whose arrival in Lot-et-Garonne in 2023 had been very disrupted by the farmers of the department.

You are our last hope. We hope that you are not a pure product of Parisian marketing. We need someone, we farmers, to tell us: “this is what we need to do for the next 20 years. » We trust you, don’t disappoint us.

At the end of the sequence, which lasted a little over an hour in its entirety, Jordan Bardella was able to have an intimate lunch with elected officials and local leaders of the National Rally, before preparing for your meeting.

These are in fact nearly 2,500 people waiting for the president of the RNfrom 3 p.m. on the Manoque side of Tonneins while a counter-demonstration, organized by a local section of France Insoumise, should take place, at the same time, in the city of tobacco.
