Four competitions organized on a single day. HAS Plaisance-du-Touchnear Toulouse, the Union of Artisans Boulangers Pâtissiers de Haute-Garonne (UABP 31) rewarded the best bakeries in the department on Thursday November 7, 2024 following various tests. After the traditional baguette and croissants, here is who makes the best sandwiches and brioches.
The best sandwiches…
Practical for the lunch break, the sandwich is a great classic of bakery snacking. What address was sacred? Ten participants were competing.
Already in first place in the departmental competition for the best croissant, the Fred L'Artisan bakery in Ramonville-Saint-Agne is, once again, in the spotlight. Stéphane Armengaud comes in first place.
He is followed by the Yves Jehanne House located in Balma, near Toulouse, which, this year, made it to the final of the M6 show “The best bakery in France”.
In 3rd position, we find the Arnoult House at The Union.
…and the best brioches
On the sweet side now, ten professionals were also competing to win the title of best departmental brioche.
The Thevenon Housebased in Muret, took first place, represented by Aldric Thevenon.
In 2nd position, we find Maison Blanchardbased in Blagnac, represented by Philippe Blanchard.
And to bring up the rear, the bakery Aux Petits Bannetons of Plaisance-du-Touch, represented by Christophe Didout.
