Lhe process of developing ZAERs (renewable energy acceleration zones) is well advanced in the territory of the Rumilly Terre de Savoie community of municipalities, most of the 17 municipalities have deliberated and transmitted their zoning on the national cartographic portal. At the regional level, a committee will have to verify that the zoning will make it possible to achieve the objectives of renewable energy production.
Not surprisingly, in all the municipalities of the Albanian territory, the photovoltaic sector is systematically used, for installations on roofs or on parking shades (in compliance with town planning documents).
The possibility of installing methanization units is widely accepted, for example in Vallières-sur-Fier, Rumilly or Hauteville sur Fier, but not in Sâles or Marcellaz Albanais. Heating networks (biomass, solar thermal, geothermal, etc.) can also constitute local energy sources such as in Sâles (wood boiler), Vallières sur Fier, Saint Eusèbe or Rumilly. Marcellaz Albanais, on the other hand, did not choose this option.
Only one municipality, Hauteville sur Fier, included, in the mapping it proposed, the possibility of producing electricity from hydraulic sources on its territory.
On the other hand, the wind sector is excluded from all municipal proposals for Renewable Energy Acceleration Zones. Even if the definition of ZAER is not exclusive and can leave room for private initiatives, we should not see wind turbines in Albanian for a long time.
